This long Dublin pick-axe is a tribute to the Celtic heritage of Ireland, and its tradition rich in myths and legends.
Very light despite of its respectable length, the slight bend of the stem compliments the smooth curves of the stummel.
A brass tube extends the "broken" shank, bringing a touch of modernism to a classic / classy shape inspired by cutties from 2 centuries ago.
The brass shank is decorated with an ebony and wild boar tooth accent, in a pattern reminiscent of the flag of Brittany (the Celtic region in France where I'm from) and the acrylic stem is fitted with a delrin lined mortise.
The emerald green stain brings out the briar grain, and shimmers with nuances when catching the light.
A complex pipe in all its simplicity...
