"Consumed by wars, greed and the nuclear rays of a dying sun, our once thriving planet has fallen... Our People must now roam the empty Cosmos in search for new settlements"
This full bent sitter is made from an old Turkish briar sporting some nice birds eyes on both sides of the bowl and straight grain on the front and back of the shank.
The shank was extended with some copper and brass acrylic, and the design of the brass inlays represent starships escaping from a dying planet about to implode.
The rich dark red top stain combined with the black grain reminds us of the atmosphere of the planet before it turns into a burning furnace.
The stem is acrylic with different red and copper/Brass accents.
I used a brass reverse tenon on this one, that fits into a delrin lined mortis in the stem.
