The extra aged Turkish briar offers a nice display of birdseyes and flames, while the white marbled acrylic compliments the dark contrast stain.
I ventured away from my beloved brass for the accents, using stainless steel for the cap, the stem ring and the bottom plate. The plate is purposefully off-centered to create the shape of a moon crescent with the briar in which it is inlayed.
The Pagan cross is embedded with crushed obsidian.
I used a stainless steel tenon and a delrin lined mortise for extra solidity.
