"Be careful what you wish for"...

A bent egg inspired by the mysterious djinns of the desert.

The ebony shank extension was cut from an ebony stump that was given to me by my mother when I visited her in Senegal.

I embedded a brass evil eye in the ebony, sealed by protective symbols reminiscent of the Tuareg art and jewelry.

The briar is from Anatoly, where the legend of the Nazar is rooted.

It presents a beautiful birds eyes pattern on both sides and a vertical straight grain upfront and a the bottom of the shank.

The stem is acrylic and is fitted with a brass tenon and an ebony accent. The shank has a delrin lined mortise.

This is a pipe that reflects part of my heritage (I have Senegalese roots mixed with Celtic), and it doubles as a protective amulet.
