Here is a little weirdo I made from a piece of scrap briar that was supposed to end up in the briar cemetery.
I decided to give it a second life by dropping the wooden shank all together and replacing it with a piece of brass tubing.
As I made this pipe for myself, I thought I would experiment a bit with the airways, using a 3mm airway diameter instead of my usual 4mm, and see how restricted the draw would be. So far, the conclusion is that despite the fact I still prefer a more open airflow, the difference in the smoking experience is not major (at least on this little fella!)
Being a lightweight pipe (19gr) , easy to clench and with a small bowl perfect for short smokes, it makes it a perfect pipe to puff on around the workshop.
